Why Jake

Congress and City Council are different levels with different challenges. But both legislative bodies require collaboration, compromise, and a results-oriented mindset. As a city councilor in Newton, Jake has worked with other elected officials and with neighbors for the last five years to improve transportation, education, and access to housing. Progressive Newton endorsed him for re-election to the city council because of his effectiveness on those critical issues.

Right after announcing in October, Jake was endorsed for Congress by 37 elected officials and community leaders in Newton who have worked closely with him – sometimes on opposite sides of an issue. Since, Jake has been endorsed by elected officials, unions, and organizations across the Massachusetts Fourth.
